Almost Home (grades K-6) is a warm, safe, stimulating, and professionally supervised after-school enrichment program offering age-appropriate activities in an educational, recreational and social setting. Children participate in a variety of activities including arts & crafts, games, clubs, computer activities, and homework help.

Children can choose to participate in a variety of cool activities, contests and clubs which vary from day to day. There is always something new going on.

Extra curricular activities are available at the JCC during Almost Home hours. Staff will escort children between activities. See School of Music and Performing Arts, grade school, school vacation programs, gymnastics, dance.

Almost Home Plus:  This option is required for children with an IEP, 504 or other behavioral and developmental differences requiring more individualized attention to ensure a safe, fun, and successful experience.  If a child is observed to require a greater level of supervision, the JCC reserves the right to transition the child to Almost Home Plus whether or not there is a formal diagnosis.  Almost Home Plus students participate in all Almost Home activites. Hours: Monday-Friday from full-day school dismissal until 6:00 p.m. Follows the Tarrytown and Irvington school calendars.

Almost Home After Hours: Children can remain with a staff member in the Tech Center or Game Room, Monday through Thursday, from 6:00-6:30 p.m.

Almost Home Extensions: Almost Homers are welcome at the JCC from school dismissal to 3:00 p.m. on early dismissal/half-days for an additional fee. Pre-registration is required.

Fees: Based on the number of days in the school year, does not include holidays and school vacations. Monthly rates reflect an average to remain consistent regardless of the number of school days in a particular month. Families are welcome to change the number of days children attend each month.      JCC family membership is required.

Transportation: Provided to the JCC by the Tarrytown and Irvington schools at no additional fee.

Almost Home Kindergarten (AHK)    
Children attending half-day kindergarten bring a bag lunch to the JCC, where they participate in music, crafts, cooking and playground activities until 3:00 p.m. when Almost Home begins.
Flexible scheduling for half-day kindergarten.

Club 456
Children in grades 4-6 plan and carry out community service projects and recreational outings. In the past, this has included the Dodge ball-A-Thon fun-raiser and gardening at Abbott House.

Vacation Sensations & SKIP: Special Kids, Interesting Places (Grades K-6)
Spend your school vacation with us.  Travel to museums, arcades, and other points of interest with our experienced staff to ensure safety and fun.  Children with special needs require an intake interview.
