Peter Pan* (2003) will be on our really big screen as we camp out in the gym.  Come in your PJs if you’d  like!  Bring  lawn chairs, mats, sleeping bags  and pillows, and make yourself comfortable  for Member Family Movie Night at the J!  Pizza, beverages and sweets will be available for purchase.

  *You probably missed this version featuring Jason Isaacs (of Harry Potter fame) as Mr. Darling/Captain Hook, and a wonderful cast of young actors.  This exciting adventure has a few plot twists you won’t remember from the Disney version.

Sundays @ the J with George & Friends
A popular monthly reading of original poetry by local authors, as well as tributes to established poets.

  Moderated by published author and poet, George Kraus, PhD.   Dr. Kraus holds a doctorate in Hispanic and Luso-BrazilianLiteratures and Languages from the Graduate Center, City University of   New York. He has worked as both scholar and translator. His chapbook, Rendition, was published by Toadlily Press. He divides his time between Rio de Janeiro and Tarrytown, NY., where he continues to write poetry and prose. Begins 2/22

The Ruth L. & Henry H. Renard Active Retirement Lecture Series

The Active Retirement Program is committed to providing lifelong learning opportunities of the highest quality for adults 55 years and older. This unique program offers an eclectic variety of provocative, stimulating, and engaging continuing education programs. Professional presenters from local colleges and the community provide courses of study in the arts, literature, theater, philosophy, current events, and life trends.

This ongoing program meets weekly over coffee and bagels. Retired professionals and business executives provide fellowship and exchange ideas, providing members with stimulating lectures, diverse programs and exposure to cultural events. In addition to sharing their own experiences and expertise, club members engage a variety of speakers--ranging from members of Congress to television sports producers to health care providers. Membership is not limited to any age group.

Experienced professionals offer one-on-one instruction in piano, violin, guitar, flute, saxophone, clarinet, cello, viola, and voice. Recital performances are held toward the end of each semester.

Non-members will be charged a $75 registration fee which includes a $10 insurance charge.

Flexible scheduling, with morning and afternoon classes, offers adults with busy lifestyles an opportunity to pursue musical interests at their convenience. Schedule weekly lessons to learn a new instrument, improve skills and/or take advantage of performance opportunities.

Gateway Dual Membership (two memberships in one)
