By: Robert Rand

Tuesday, May 1 at 8:00 p.m.

Tarrytown's author Robert Rand seeks to answer the question of how Tamerlane, a 14th Century conqueror and national hero of post-Soviet Uzbekistan, represents the aspirations of one of the world's most diverse and politically intriguing countries. Timberlane's Children highlights the country's confused identity and the challenges that its people will face in generations to come.
