Family Chanukah Celebrations
Free Community Event

Mythmakers!
Sunday, December 9 at 2:00 p.m.
From ancient
times, storytellers have woven music and words to entertain and teach.
THE MYTHMAKERS continue this tradition using stories and
instruments from different cultures around the world. In this fast paced
performance, two dynamic performers act out each story, creating
characters and places using only their voices, bodies, and highlighted
with the sounds of authentic musical instruments from the appropriate
culture.
Drama, comedy, literature, music, and a great deal of imagination and
participation combine into a fun-filled experience for the entire
family.

PARTNERSHIP 2000
Inspiration Israel-Jewish Mosaic 2007-2008
“The Jewish Mosaic,”
is our current two-year
collaboration with our
sister agencies, JCC of Mid-Westchester in Scarsdale, and Ginot Ha’ir in
Jerusalem. Last year,
Westchester educators traveled to Israel to meet their counterparts,
attend an educational conference, spend time in the classroom with
teachers and students learning their curriculum, and planning dual
projects. This fall, Israeli educators will come here to work, teach and
learn about our early childhood programs, our congregational schools,
and Jewish day schools. Hopefully, a fourth partner from Bulgaria,
Brazil or Argentina will join this project, expanding our experiences
and adding a new dimension to the concept of Jewish Peoplehood.
We gratefully
acknowledge the continued funding by UJA-Federation of New York and the
Jewish Agency For Israel in Jerusalem. |
