Chocolate Seder and KlezKidz Concert
Great fun for the whole family!!!
 

Matzah magically transforms into KitKats and the wine is as sweet at chocolate milk at this mock Seder

celebrated all in chocolate.

 

Clap and dance along with KlezKidz, middle school-age musicians, performing traditional Klezmer music.

 

$35 family, $10 individual includes Seder and concert.

Eighty-six-year-old twin sisters Peppy Barer and Rosie Groman narrate their Passover celebration story which began almost 100 years ago with their family of ten to today with 60 to 110 gefilte fish eating family and friends attending.

Meet Mindy Cohen
our new Special Needs Department Director
 
Mindy CohenThe JCC is excited to announce the formation of a Special Needs Department under the direction of Mindy S. Cohen, LMSW.  Mindy, our Special Needs Training Institute Coordinator for the last four years, is joining our staff full time to unify and expand the many wonderful programs the JCC offers under one department. 
 

Mindy brings with her 20 years of experience with children, adults, and families in therapeutic, recreational, and educational settings, and a vision for the JCC's future role in serving the special needs community in the Rivertowns and beyond. 

 

Please join me in welcoming Mindy and feel free to reach out to her with your ideas.  As of April 7, she can be reached at 366-7898, ext. 108 or by email at mcohen@jcconthehudson.org.  Stop in and say, "Hello" at our Open House on April 13. 

Hebrew for Adults
Hebrew on One Leg - A beginner's Course for Adults
6 Mondays beginning April 28
 
Always wanted to learn Hebrew or planning a trip to Israel?  Learn from native speaker and experienced teacher, Hasia Monselise.
 
7:00-7:30pm Reading Hebrew
Learn from the begining or brush up your rusty reading skills so you can follow along during services, recognize Israeli street signs and read menus.
 
7:30-8:30pm Speaking Conversational Hebrew
Practice basic conversational skills to help you get around, shop and make new friends. Hebrew reading skills are not required for the conversational portion of this class.
 
Fees:
Reading and Converation, 7:00-8:30 
$120, JCC Member $100
Conversation only, 7:30-8:30
$90, JCC Member $75
